How to remove yourself from Intelius

    Find your listing

    Search your name and state on Intelius so you know which record is yours: age, past cities and relatives help you tell people apart.

    Open the PeopleConnect Suppression Center

    Intelius's opt-outs run through PeopleConnect at suppression.peopleconnect.us. Enter an email address and click the verification link it sends. The link expires quickly, so open it right away.

    Confirm your details

    Enter your date of birth and full legal name, then pick the record that matches you. Only select records that are really yours.

    Verify with a code

    PeopleConnect sends a one-time code to an email address or phone number already on the record. Enter it to prove the record is yours.

    Set the record to suppressed

    Choose to suppress the record and save. Take a screenshot of the confirmation, then search again in a few days.

What Intelius shows about you

Intelius can show your home address, phone number, email, relatives and criminal and court records. Intelius is one of the oldest background-check companies, and it sits inside a larger group run by PeopleConnect. The same records feed a long list of brands, including Instant Checkmate, TruthFinder, US Search, ZabaSearch and Addresses.com, which is why one suppression request reaches several sites at once.

Good to know

If the Suppression Center can't find you, or no contact on your record still works, you can also email support@mailer.intelius.com or call 1-888-245-1655 and ask an agent to suppress the record. Only confirm details Intelius already shows; don't volunteer new ones.

Suppression hides your record from searches. It does not delete the public records behind it, so a fresh listing can appear when the data is refreshed. Check again every few months.
